This piece began life as a sketch by my client, who designs the dashboard wood graining for a major car manufacturer.
The doors are full width slabs of a tree with the bark still on, cut up the centre along the line of the grain. I actually drove the raw piece of wood to the client's house to get a feel for how it would work in their room.
There are no supports or constraints on the doors.
