Ash Coffee Table

I probably don't do a lot of glass topped tables, but we wanted the rug to show through, and keep the room light. I like playing with the quasi Japanese style of overlapping corners, lots of little joints in this table.
Ash has a very straight grain that lends itself to linear lines. We weren't perfectly happy with the finished height so I sawed it down 5/8"on site with a Japanese dozuki saw.
