“Husser” Table

This was one of my more difficult design projects, a modification of Frank Lloyd Wright's table in the "Husser" house, in Chicago. The trouble is, Frank was a brilliant designer, and squeezing his design into a regular sized house is not easy.
When something is perfect into itself, how do you change it? I'm happy with the result though, the checkerboard inlay was made out of the edge of the top, so it looks carved in.
